Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hurricane Sue was quick to begin.  Big Bash Jonesy and Hazardous Rumour collided approaching the first turn checking Hazardous Rumour.  Charlie Brother galloped on Hurricane Sue approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Hazardous Rumour was checked off Hurricane Sue on the first turn.

All To Mac went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Ironclad was checked off Hurricane Gypsy soon after the start.  Even Keats and Lady Loch collided on the first turn.  Hurricane Miami and Ironclad collided approaching the home turn checking Hurricane Miami.  Ironclad galloped on Lady Loch approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  All To Mac raced wide entering the home straight.  Hurricane Gypsy turned its head out in the home straight.  All To Mac, Bean's Multi and Hurricane Gypsy raced wide in the home straight.  Hurricane Gypsy turned its head out and visibly eased approaching the winning post checking Bean's Multi.

Hurricane Gypsy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana the representative for Hurricane Gypsy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Hurricane Gypsy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Sultana pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hurricane Gypsy was found guilty and is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Golden Ratio was slow to begin.  Jet Lee Rose and Rush Riccarton collided soon after the start. Rose's Honey and Golden Ratio collided on the first turn checking Golden Ratio.  Reverse Outright was checked off Jet Lee Rose approaching the home turn.  Rush Riccarton was checked off Reverse Outright on the home turn.  Angel Eyes raced wide in the home straight.

Pontiac Moon was quick to begin.  Got The Torque, Charango and Royal Arrival were slow to begin. Brave Traveller and Royal Arrival collided approaching the first turn checking Royal Arrival.  Razor Burn and Almapa Berisha collided on the first turn checking Almapa Berisha.  Got The Torque was checked off Pontiac Moon on the first turn checking Almapa Berisha and Aston Clurey.  Charango galloped on Pontiac Moon approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing Charango to race wide.  Royal Arrival raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Got The Torque and Almapa Berisha collided entering the home straight checking Got The Torque.

Reality Luxe was slow to begin. Captain Cruiser, Hurricane Pete and Speed Demon collided approaching the first turn checking Captain Cruiser. Captain Cruiser galloped on Speed Demon on the first turn severely checking Captain Cruiser and Speed Demon, checking Bomber's Cruiser, Mighty Tuscany and Hurricane Pete.
