Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Bush Panther - Late scratching at 6.08 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a laceration to the right hind sesamoid.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Gypsy Cinnamon was quick to begin. Indigo Indy was slow to begin. 

Galiena Bale and Asquith Bale collided several times approaching the first turn checking Galiena Bale.

Weblec Bloom and Alabama Anna were slow to begin. 

Weblec Bloom and Aston Odyssey collided approaching the first turn. Eagles Nest Egg clipped the heels of Mr. Fix It approaching the home turn. Aston Odyssey and Miss Ali collided on the home turn. Mr. Fit It raced wide on the home turn. Tan Back Tan marred Aston Odyssey in the home straight.

Tan Back Tan underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Bartlett, the representative of Tan Back Tan regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tan Back Tan was charged with marring. Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Tan Back Tan is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards issued a warning to handler Ms L.Courts after she was late in arriving at the kennels to prepare Mr.Fix It for its engagement.(GAR 46 (2))

Fernando Fury, Saint Jett and Sharnee Rose collided on the first turn checking Ernie Prang and Diesel Dust and severely checking Saint Jett. Son Of Indy and Sharnee Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Ernie Prang and Sharnee Rose. Diesel Dust and Sharnee Rose collided in the home straight.

Ancho Poblano checked off Kissable on the home turn. Dirty Max and Ancho Poblano collided on the home turn and in the home straight.

Tiggerlong Al crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Palace Lady and Nella Bale. Yozo Bale and Elvisa Bale collided on the first turn checking Elvisa Bale. Darklight checked off Tiggerlong Al approaching the home turn checking Palace Lady and Nella Bale causing both Palace Lady and Nella Bale to race wide. Bad Guy raced wide entering the home straight.

Suvla Bay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg dislocted toe and a right hindleg toe collateral ligament rupture and a right hindleg split webbing. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Casino– Late scratching at 8.55am when trainer Rebecca Gibbons reported the greyhound to have abrasions to the abdomen. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Quarantined and Berkel Boy collided soon after the start. Reality Luxe checked off Niccali soon after the start. Niccali and Call Me Harvey collided approaching the first turn. Reality Luxe and Quarantined collided on the first turn. Call Me Harvey and Invictus Waive collided approaching the winning post.

Black Hornet and Zambora Smokey were slow to begin.
