Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Dalziel the representative for Mister Slate regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mister Slate must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dakar underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on the left triceps, left hock and right hamstring. No stand down period was imposed.

Immersion was quick to begin.  Fraser Hook and Classified collided approaching the first turn. Fashion Icon and Classified collided in the home straight.
