Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Bomber's Wonder upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Take A Daisy.
Break The Plate and Why Not Dot were slow to begin.
My Girl Mel, Layback Cruiser and Gracelands collided soon after the start. Bomber's Wonder and My Girl Mel collided approaching the first turn. My Girl Mel and Maverick Bob collided on the first turn. Bomber's Wonder and Layback Cruiser collided approaching the home turn. Maverick Bob checked off Break The Plate approaching the home turn. Bomber's Wonder, Break The Plate and My Girl Mel collided on the home turn. Bomber's Wonder and Gracelands collided in the home straight.
Gracelands underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr Geoffrey Green, the trainer of Bomber's Wonder was issued a warning in that he failed to obey the starters orders pursuant to GAR 51.
