Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Edge Serena – Late scratching at 10.36am when Mr Alan Tharle reported the greyhound to have a pad injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Pontiac Lass and Crouching Tiger were slow to begin.

Rocking Jewel and Blazin' Jewel collided approaching the first turn.  Crouching Tiger raced wide approaching the first turn and on the first turn.  Black Garnet and Blazin' Jewel collided on the first turn.  Kalkari and Pontiac Lass collided on the first turn checking Pontiac Lass.  

Pretty More and Love A Collision were slow to begin.

Love A Collision crossed out soon after the start and brushed the outside fence.  Boes Reward checked off Bec Mackie approaching the first turn checking Pretty More.  Boes Reward and Bec Mackie collided on the first turn causing Boes Reward to check off Love A Collision checking Pretty More.  Bec Mackie and Pretty More collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Pretty More, Boes Reward and Bec Mackie raced wide in the home straight.

My Girl Mel, Layback Cruiser and Gracelands collided soon after the start.  Bomber's Wonder and My Girl Mel collided approaching the first turn.  My Girl Mel and Maverick Bob collided on the first turn.  Bomber's Wonder and Layback Cruiser collided approaching the home turn.  Maverick Bob checked off Break The Plate approaching the home turn.  Bomber's Wonder, Break The Plate and My Girl Mel collided on the home turn.  Bomber's Wonder and Gracelands collided in the home straight. 

Gracelands underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Geoffrey Green, the trainer of Bomber's Wonder was issued a warning in that he failed to obey the starters orders pursuant to GAR 51.

Dani Thrills was quick to begin.

Diamond Cartel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the right hind achillies and right front foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Lindsay Fulford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Diamond Cartel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Diamond Cartel must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Marley's Rage was slow to begin.

Meehan Marlow and Bella Chic collided approaching the first turn.  Jullisa Bale clipped the heels of Meehan Marlow on the first turn severely checking Jullisa Bale which fell as a result.  Bella Chic galloped on Miss Tickle approaching the home turn checking Walk With Grace, severely checking Bella Chic and Miss Tickle, Bella Chic fell as a result.  Marley's Rage and Meehan Marlow collided on the home turn.  Walk With Grace checked off Meehan Marlow in the home straight.  

Bella Chic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Miss Tickle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left elbow. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Jullisa Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right lateral vastus injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Walk With Grace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right front foot dislocated toe.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
