Steward's Report
Shrek's Rose was slow to begin.
Daisy Mac, Falcon Heavy and Galway Lights collided soon after the start checking Daisy Mac. Dewana Chic, Morbius and Cinnamon Lass collided approaching the first turn checking Morbius. Dewana Chic checked off Cinnamon Lass approaching the first turn. Falcon Heavy crossed in on the first turn severely checking Patches Colour and Galway Lights. Patches Colour galloped on Cinnamon Lass on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Cinnamon Lass to become unbalanced.
Cinnamon Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Sciortino, the trainer of Cinnamon Lass regarding its racing manners on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Cinnamon Lass must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Patches Colour underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury and spike wound. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Galway Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Cinnamon Lass - unplaced in the event.
