Cinnamon Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Sciortino, the trainer of Cinnamon Lass regarding its racing manners on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Cinnamon Lass must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Patches Colour underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury and spike wound. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Galway Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Queen Of Promise underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a neck muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, race 12 was suspended at 4.00pm due to storm activity (continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around Warragul).  Stewards made contact with the Weather Bureau several times who advised that lightning activity was likely to continue for some time with another storm cell coming behind.  Stewards made the decision to abandon this race at 4.38pm after storm activity continued nearby.

Prize money for this race will be divided between runners.
