Red Queen crossed in soon after the start checking Justin Rose and Midnight Muscat.  Midnight Muscat faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Aston Truffle checked off Soda Maxi on the first turn severely checking Aston Truffle causing Justin Rose to fall.  

Midnight Muscat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Justin Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury and an abrasion to the left medial wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Mintie – Late scratching at 7.58am when Mr R. Cunneen reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Smooth Talker and Madalia Daisy were slow to begin.

Phoenix Drive, Untested, Crystal Kiss and Awesome Shae collided on the first turn checking Crystal Kiss and Madalia Daisy causing Awesome Shae and Phoenix Drive to fall.  Untested raced wide on the home turn.

Awesome Shae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and right monkey muscle injuries.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Phoenix Drive underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a radius/ulna fracture. Phoenix Drive was humanely euthanized.
