Zambora Tara - Late scratching at 12:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G. Bartlett was fined $100.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Stray Cat Mr K. Kelly regarding his late arrival to the track for kennelling. Stewards noted Mr Kelly's explanation on the heavy traffic and issued a warning in accordance with GAR 31. 

Salut Bianca was quick to begin.  Tiny Shiny was slow to begin.

Stray Cat crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Levi's Me Boy and My Way.  My Way and Poppo's Grinning collided on the first turn, Poppo's Grinning subsequently lost ground.  Stray Cat faltered on the first turn checking My Way and Tiny Shiny.  Brooke's Wings and Salut Bianca collided approaching the home turn.  Levi's Me Boy checked off Brooke's Wings on the home turn.  Brooke's Wings and Levi's Me Boy collided in the home straight.

Stray Cat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist and left triangle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Poppo's Grinning underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Mayle, the representative of Poppo's Grinning regarding its performance from the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Popp's Grinning must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
