An out of competition sample was taken from Dundee Prince on 17 February 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A sample was taken from What Price Bucks at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today. 

Aerolithology – Late scratching at 12:22pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Kennel representative Mr N. Jenner informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Stewards have advised Mr Jenner that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. Mr Jenner presented evidence of the break-down, Stewards lifted the penalty.

A sample was taken from Thug Rose upon arrival at the course. 

What Price Bucks and Dundee Prince were quick to begin.  Parumba Barcia and Italia Bella were slow to begin.  Mt. View Wrap was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Parumba Barcia checked off Wow Anna on the first turn checking Dundee Prince and Thug Rose.  Parumba Barcia galloped on Wow Anna on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  

Mt. View Wrap underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Whitford, the trainer of Mt. View Wrap regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mt. View Wrap must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Bodhi's Bro Kai at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Diamond Cartel.

Taya Bale was quick to begin.

Gunmandu crossed in soon after the start checking Diamond Cartel and Shrek's Rose causing Shrek's Rose to stumble.  Daisy Mac and Bernmar World collided on the first turn checking Bernmar world.  Diamond Cartel checked off Gunmandu on the first turn checking Taya Bale.  Diamond Cartel and Gunmandu collided in the home straight checking Gunmandu.  Gunmandu and Shrek's Rose raced wide in the home straight.  

Shrek's Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  

Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 and all were compliant.

Capture Wing and Casanova Man were quick to begin. 

Jayville Tuxedo and Knuckle Buster were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Knuckle Buster.  Gunner's Hawk, Take A Lily and Unleash Betty collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Jayville Tuxedo and Axel Boy Jose collided on the home turn.  Knuckle Buster checked off Unleash Betty on the home turn checking Take A lily.  Knuckle Buster and Take A Lily collided in the home straight.  Capture Wing and Axel Boy Jose collided in the home straight checking Axel Boy Jose.  Capture Wing tired over the concluding stages.

Capture Wing underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Zipping Cedric and Hayley's Hero were quick to begin.  Whistlin Missile and Nowhere Nathe were slow to begin.

Hayley's Hero crossed in on the first turn checking Zipping Cedric.  Montaro checked off Black Mintie approaching the home turn severely checking Montaro and Nowhere Nathe causing Montaro to fall and Nowhere Nathe to lose considerable ground.  Black Mintie and Rocky Pie collided approaching the winning post checking Rocky Pie and Whistlin Missile.  

Montaro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder and triangle injuries and abrasions to the right shoulder and wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Nowhere Nathe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and grazes near both eyes.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Rocky Pie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Smooth Talker and Super Attitude were slow to begin.

Here Runs Emilia checked off Praise Me approaching the first turn.  Praise Me raced wide on the home turn checking Smooth Talker causing Super Attitude to race wide.  Bomber's Queen and Enya Bale collided entering the home straight.  Praise Me visibly eased and turned its head approaching the winning post.

Praise Me underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Churchill, the trainer of Praise Me regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Praise Me was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Churchill pleaded guilty to the charge, Praise Me is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Princess America upon arrival at the course.

Airly With Grace was slow to begin.

Sultan Bale, Princess America and Shaun John collided on the first turn.  Sultan Bale and Airly With Grace collided on the home turn checking Airly With Grace and Shaun John.  Superstar Jessie and Red Queen collided on the home turn.  Pilot Pete checked off Sultan Bale in the home straight.  Sultan Bale and Princess America collided in the home straight.  Princess America and Pilot Pete collided in the home straight.  Superstar Jessie and Red Queen collided in the home straight.  

A post-race sample was taken from Line Trike - winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke the lure driver Mr S. Courts and reminded him of his reasonability’s to make sure the lure is in the correct position before the start of each race. This matter was referred to his Manager for further consideration and remediation.

An out of competition sample was taken from Yukin Win scratched from this event on17 February 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Attitude.

Rall's Girl and Mr. Attitude were slow to begin.  Blazin' Hawk checked off Scorching Ember soon after the start.  Hello Goodnight and Alisha Hook collided approaching the first turn.  Mr. Attitude contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Hello Goodnight, Alisha Hook and Rall's Girl collided on the first turn checking Hello Goodnight and Alisha Hook.  Blazin' Hawk checked off Alisha Hook approaching the home turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Scorching Ember - winner of the event. 

Tarquin Bob was slow to begin.

Soda Maxi crossed to the rail soon after the start severely checking Victor Leone, Zipping Afro and checking Aron Allen.  Soda Maxi checked off Run Like Rhys on the first turn.  Run Like Rhys and Jonathan's Rose collided on the first turn checking Run Like Rhys.  Bush Bro raced wide in the home straight.

Zambora Tara - Late scratching at 12:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G. Bartlett was fined $100.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Stray Cat Mr K. Kelly regarding his late arrival to the track for kennelling. Stewards noted Mr Kelly's explanation on the heavy traffic and issued a warning in accordance with GAR 31. 

Salut Bianca was quick to begin.  Tiny Shiny was slow to begin.

Stray Cat crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Levi's Me Boy and My Way.  My Way and Poppo's Grinning collided on the first turn, Poppo's Grinning subsequently lost ground.  Stray Cat faltered on the first turn checking My Way and Tiny Shiny.  Brooke's Wings and Salut Bianca collided approaching the home turn.  Levi's Me Boy checked off Brooke's Wings on the home turn.  Brooke's Wings and Levi's Me Boy collided in the home straight.

Stray Cat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist and left triangle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Poppo's Grinning underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Mayle, the representative of Poppo's Grinning regarding its performance from the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Popp's Grinning must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Perfect Chase – Late scratching at 12:23pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Kennel representative Mr N. Jenner informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Ruth's Girl, Jackson's Valley and Bobby Ray were slow to begin.

Ruth's Girl faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off.  Jackson's Valley and Woodleigh Sal collided approaching the first turn. Rock Me Xanthe checked off Tim Tam Sam on the first turn.  Split Pea checked off Bobby Ray on the first turn.

Ruth's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain and left back muscle injuries.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Muza's Belle and Peaked were quick to begin.

Peaked crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Go Lucy Go, Foxy Princess and severely checking Muza's Belle which lost ground and collided with Burning Express.  Burning Express checked off Foxy Princess approaching the home turn.  Muza's Belle and Burning Express collided entering the home straight.  Muza's Belle crossed to the outside in the home straight.  

Samples were taken from Zipping Lucky and Crackerjack Jase upon arrival at the course.

Mini Fernando was quick to begin.  Crackerjack Jase was slow to begin.

Philo Bale, Party Mix and Zipping Lucky collided approaching the first turn.  Party Mix and Crackerjack Jase collided in the home straight.
