Chilling Story was slow to begin.
Gold Attraction, Tashendo and Sudoku Ninja collided on the first turn, checking Tashendo. Sudoku Ninja and Sports Gairn collided approaching the home turn, causing Sports Gairn to check off the heels of Shimmy Dat Ray and fall, severely checking Chilling Story.
Sports Gairn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
