Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr B. Grenfell and noted his explanation for the late scratching.

Maximum Jodie and Alvira were quick to begin. Riverdale Shine was slow to begin.

Inga Lewis checked off Filoga Bale on the first turn. Can't Spell and Riverdale Shine collided approaching the home turn, checking Can't Spell. Absolute Scenes and Inga Lewis collided on the home turn and again in the home straight, checking Inga Lewis. Filorga Bale marred the running of Alvira several times in the home straight. Maximum Jodie, Alvira and Filorga Bale collided in the home straight.

Filorga Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. B. Grenfell regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Filorga Bale was charged with marring. Mr. B. Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge, Filorga Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Piper's Unicorn was quck to begin. Riverdale Bluey was slow to begin.

Cainlea Abby checked off Thug Rose soon after the start. Nordic Prince checked off Call Me Silk approaching the first turn. Piper's Unicorn, Thug Rose and Go Rusty Go collided approaching the first turn, checking Thug Rose and Cairnlea Abby. Piper's Unicorn and Go Rusty Go collided on the first turn, checking Go Rusty Go and Thug Rose. Riverdale Bluey galloped on the heels of Thug Rose approaching the home turn, checking Thug Rose and severely checking Riverdale Bluey. Cainlea Abby checked off Nordic Prince entering the home straight.

Isotope was quick to begin. Crackerjack Nash went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground.

Aerolithology checked off Tommy Cawbourne approaching the first turn, also checking Crackerjack Nash. Offaly Blonde galloped on the heels of Isotope on the first turn, checking Isotope and Riverdale Bear and severely checking Offaly Blonde. Aerolithology checked off Crackerjack Nash approaching the winning post.

Winslow Lodge was slow to begin.

I'm Fuller crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Fried White Bait, Flying Solo and Heart Beats True. Flying Solo, Fried White Bait and Winslow Lodge collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. I'm Fuller galloped on the heels of Simmo Gogolac on the first turn. Fried White Bait checked off Flying Solo on the home turn. Heart Beats True and Winslow Lodge collided entering the home straight, checking Heart Beats True.

Flying Solo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Inga Ross and Empowered were slow to begin.

Star Fever crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Reiko Houdini, Gardener's Boyo and Galilahi. Gardener's Boyo and Claretown Trixie collided on the second turn, checking Bright Blue and Gardener's Boyo. Bright Blue checked off Gardener's Boyo approaching the home turn. Claretown Trixie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr. M. Giddings was issued with a warning for leaving course with Claretown Trixie without permission of Stewards pursuant to GAR 42 (2). In arriving at this penalty Stewards were mindful that the greyhound was returned to the course, underwent a veterinary examination and it was Mr Giddings' first offence under this rule. 

Fawn Regrets was slow to begin.

Oshkosh Nar and Fran Bale collided soon after the start. Succession Plan checked off Maina Honey approaching the first turn. Monaro Joe checked off Oshkosh Nar on the first turn. Maina Honey checked off Kelli Pochette approaching the home turn. Great Success and Fran Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn, checking Great Success.

Zoe's Intention was slow to begin. Ragin' Comet went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground.

Big Cam and Regal Missile collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Big Cam checked off Regal Missile approaching the first turn. New Cross Gate, Janray Lucky One and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the first turn, checking Black Opaque and severely checking Regal Missile and Janray Lucky One. New Cross Gate, Sofie Gogolac and Zoe's Intention collided on the first turn, checking Sofie Gogolac.

Crymelon Kit and Tuesday's Grace collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Air Commander checked off Game Spirit soon after the start. Game Spirit, Cosmic Brew, Stavros and Tuesday's Grace collided on the first turn, checking Game Spirit, Air Commander and Crymelon Kit, and severely checking Stavros. Game Spirit and Stavros collided approaching the home turn, checking Game Spirit. Cosmic Brew and Tuesday's Grace collided on the home turn, checking Cosmic Brew. Moondust underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down perod was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr I. Robinson regarding the betting support and performance of his greyhound Pyrenees Daisy in this event. Mr Robinson explained that he did not have a wager on the greyhound and could not explain the market fluctuation. Mr Robinson was expecting a forward showing and believes the greyhound is performing better behind the dual lure system. Mr Robinson added that although the greyhound missed the start it had an uninterrupted run throughout the event and its overall time was only slow. In addition the greyhound has had some minor soreness resolved and had two weeks between runs.

Yenderra Bazza – Late scratching at 11:30am when Mr. G. Couldridge reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Couldridge and accepted his explanation for the late scratching. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Sandulad checked off Blue Marie on the first turn and brushed the running rail. Mowgli Express checked off Blue Marie in the home straight. Sandulad and Mowgli Express collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Parry Allen - the winner of the event.

Diego Fernando stumbled at the start and lost ground. Tennyson Girl and Super Hard collided approaching the home turn. Don's Trouble raced wide on the home turn.

Why Not Maxine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right hock and right metatarsal. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Chilling Story – New declared weight of 39.2kg, last raced at 37.7kg.

Chilling Story was slow to begin.

Gold Attraction, Tashendo and Sudoku Ninja collided on the first turn, checking Tashendo. Sudoku Ninja and Sports Gairn collided approaching the home turn, causing Sports Gairn to check off the heels of Shimmy Dat Ray and fall, severely checking Chilling Story.
