In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 20.1 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.1 degrees. 

During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all trainers’ vehicles engaged in today’s meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all transport had adhered to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy.

Usain Spolly and Legend Rose collided soon after the start. Wave Collision turned its head inwards soon after the start. Parabellum, Joking Bear and Wave Collision collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark.

Wave Collision underwent a post-race veterinary examination - No apparent injury was reported. Kennel representative Mr. Jonathon Mullen declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Jonathon Mullen, the representative for Wave Collision regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Wave Collision was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Mullen pleaded guilty to the charge, Wave Collision is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

What Feeling was slow to begin. 

Light Show crossed in soon after the start. Peace Of Hope and Superior Kiki collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark. Where's Spolly and Superior Kiki collided at the 50m mark and several times to the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Abraham Formosa, the handler of Jutterbug Witch after it was determined that the greyhound did not have a catcher following the event. Mr Formosa stated that he had engaged Ms Yvette Howard to catch all of his greyhounds that were engaged to race today, however due to a miscommunication Ms Howard had not noted down the catch for Jitterbig Witch. Stewards reminded both parties of their responsibilities to ensure all greyhounds have a confirmed catcher in future. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Bags On Shazza.

Magic Shout and Manila Mist collided soon after the start. Bags On Shazza and Any Luck collided at the 250m mark. Manila Mist and Ruby's Rosa collided at the 200m mark. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Angry Answer on 18 December 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.

C. Barnard was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Wild Bandit pursuant to GAR 33.

Bruree Boy and Galloping Nikki collided at the 150m mark. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Pranjip Comet on 18 December 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jupiter Ascending.

Speckie Mckean and Meehan Poppy collided soon after the start. Diamond White and Coconut Gloria collided soon after the start. Speckie Mckean and Meehan Poppy collided at the 150m mark. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Western Bomber.

Annaley Flash and Western Bomber collided at the 300m mark. Main One and Master Winslow collided at the 250m mark. Annaley Flash and Josie's Entity collided at the 200m mark. 

Rim of Fire - Late scratching at 11.46am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to the greyhound presenting with unusual behaviour. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Flying Solo and Ray Shoesmith collided soon after the start. Flying Solo and Red Potion collided soon after the start. Flying Solo and Ferny Flat Miss collided at the 250m mark. 

Stewards reminded Mr Robert Proctor of his responsibilities to ensure that he follows the starters orders when boxing his greyhounds (GAR 51). 

Rhomboid checked off Mumma's Bear at the 250m mark and crossed to the outside. 

Meehan Pebbles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fore toe injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Fun Time Mikado – New declared weight of 27.7kg, last raced at 29.0kg. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Global Gem.

Super Switch and Rockin' Rosco collided soon after the start. Rockin' Rosco faltered at the 250m and lost ground. Fun Time Mikado and Super Switch collided at the 150m mark. 

Rockin' Rosco underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

At the conclusion of this event, the outside temperature was 35.9 degrees.

Rippin' Bartel – New declared weight of 30.5kg, last raced at 29.4kg. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Almendra.

Rippin' Bartel and Further Dreamer were slow to begin. 

Soda Ashlee, Bluehawk Robert and I'm Orion collided soon after the start. Further Dreamer checked off Kid Winslow at the 250m mark. Bluehawk Robert and I'm Orion collided approaching the winning post.
