Eurico Bale was quick to begin. Gold Break and La Porsche were slow to begin.
Notorious Sam and Buckle Up Brax collided soon after the start. Raid The Bank and Notorious Sam collided approaching the first turn. Raid The Bank, Notorious Sam and Buckle Up Brax collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Brax and Notorious Sam and severely checking Gold Break which contacted the running rail as a result. Mepunga Locky galloped on the heels of Eurico Bale entering the home straight severely checking Eurico Bale which faltered and collided with Gold Break.
Eurico Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
