Hurricane Dylan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left shoulder. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Daniel Despard left the course prior to getting the greyhound Hurricane Dylan vetted.  Mr Despard did return to the course after Stewards contacted him.  In accordance with GAR 42 (1) Stewards issued a warning to Mr Despard regarding leaving the course without stewards' permission.

Stylish Missile was quick to begin.  Beanology and Our Centurion were slow to begin.

Aston Tyki and Black Beauty collided approaching the first turn checking Black Beauty.  Where's Lachie and Aston Tyki collided approaching the first turn checking Stylish Missile and Where's Lachie.  Hedonistic and Yelredda Saint collided on the first turn severely checking Hedonistic and causing Stylish Missile to race wide.  Black Beauty and Hedonistic collided approaching the second turn Checking both greyhounds  Where's Lachie lost ground on the second turn.  Stylish Missile checked off Where's Lachie on the third turn.

Where's Lachie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Allan Ferguson, the trainer of Where's Lachie regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Where's Lachie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Vis Vitae underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Russell Edwards regarding the greyhound Vis Vitae tiring approaching the winning post, Mr Edwards stated that this was the greyhounds first 520m race for approximately 8 months and he was trying to get the greyhound to race over the longer distances.

Chantilly Mack and Cheeky Bumpa collided soon after the start checking Chantilly Mack.  Salut Bianca and Extra Kisses collided approaching first turn checking Extra Kisses.  Killara John and Salut Bianca collided approaching the first turn checking Killara John, Zipping Chantal and Extra Kisses.  Zipping Chantal and Extra Kisses collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Chantal.  Chantilly Mack crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Catcha Nugget.  Zipping Chantal clipped the heels of Extra Kisses approaching the home turn causing Extra Kisses to lose ground.

Meeting Comments

Stewards spoke to Mr Greg Minne regarding his late arrival to the course for kenneling. Acting In accordance with GAR 31(1) Mr Minne was fined $50.

Shrek's Rusty – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a seasonal spell. Weighing 27.5kg and beginning from box 2, Shrek's Rusty completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.37. Shrek's Rusty placed 3rd in a field of 5 starters beaten by 0.5 lengths. Shrek's Rusty has been cleared to race.

One More Light – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to seasonal spell. Weighing 28.8kg and beginning from box 6, One More Light completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.35. One More Light placed 1st in a field of 5 starters winning by a neck. One More Light has been cleared to race.
