A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Spolly.
Got Some Zip was quick to begin.
Wrap Around and Got Some Zip collided soon after the start. Mahjong Nickel and Wrap Around collided approaching the first turn. Acer and Tonking Home collided several times approaching the first turn checking Acer, Got Some Zip and Wrap Around. Wrap Around and Got Some Zip collided on the first turn checking Acer, Smart Zero, severely checking Wrap Around, Got Some Zip and Miss Spolly; causing Campbell Rose to gallop on Wrap Around which fell as a result and causing Campbell Rose to lose considerable ground.
Wrap Around underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hind calf and thigh muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
