Steward's Report
Erolo Bale – New declared weight of 32kg, last raced at 33.1kg.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Erolo Bale.
Woodleigh Sal and On Degoey were quick to begin. All For Now was slow to begin.
Erolo Bale and On Degoey collided soon after the start checking Erolo Bale. Fran Keeping and Sheza Code Blue collided approaching the first turn causing both greyhounds to contact the running rail; Fran Keeping lost ground as a result. Sheza Code Blue checked off Woodleigh Sal on the first turn. All For Now galloped on Hurricane Dylan approaching the home turn severely checking Hurricane Dylan and causing Erolo Bale to race wide.
Fran Keeping underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Sheza Code Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Hurricane Dylan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left shoulder. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Erolo Bale - unplaced in the event.
Mr Daniel Despard left the course prior to getting the greyhound Hurricane Dylan vetted. Mr Despard did return to the course after Stewards contacted him. In accordance with GAR 42 (1) Stewards issued a warning to Mr Despard regarding leaving the course without stewards' permission.
