Why Not Luv was slow to begin.
Shantelle Rose, Eddie Coin and Indulge collided soon after the start checking Eddie Coin and Indulge. Boombox Charlie, Rockstar Quinn and Threaten collided soon after the start checking Rockstar Quinn. Threaten, Boombox Charlie, Indulge and Shantelle Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Boombox Charlie. Threaten, Indulge and Shantelle Rose collided on the first turn checking Threaten, Starry's Lad, Why Not Luv and severely checking Indulge which fell. Eddie Coin and Boombox Charlie collided on the first turn checking Eddie Coin, severely checking Boombox Charlie and Rockstar Quinn, both greyhounds fell as a result. Starry's Lad and Why Not Luv collided on the third turn.
Indulge underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
