A pre-race sample was taken from Bobby The Brute.
Bobby The Brute and Almapa Berisha were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Bartholomew Bale and Almapa Sunshine collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Clive checked off Winlock Winner approaching the first turn. Mitch Bale, Winlock Winner, Renita Bale and Bartholomew Bale collided on the first turn checking Winlock Winner, Renita Bale and Bartholomew Bale. Mitch Bale checked off Almapa Sunshine on the second turn and collided with Bartholomew Bale. Renita Bale and Bobby The Brute collided on the second turn. Mitch Bale, Bartholomew Bale and Zipping Clive collided entering the back straight checking Zipping Clive. Almapa Berisha checked off Bobby The Brute in the back straight. Winlock Winner, Mitch Bale, Bartholomew Bale and Zipping Clive collided on the third turn checking Zipping Clive. Renita Bale, Mitch Bale, Zipping Clive and Bobby The Brute collided approaching the home turn severely checking Renita Bale which stumbled and tailed off as a result.
