Steward's Report
Hadarah Bale was slow to begin.
Couture, Lightwood Lass and Keefe collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Couture and Lightwood Lass collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Hadarah Bale checked off Keefe approaching the home turn checking Couture.
Lightwood Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Brown, the trainer of Lightwood Lass regarding its performance in this event. Mr Brown stated that the greyhound was not suited to the 715m distance races and it is his intention to restrict Lightwood Lass to shorter distances in the future.
A post-race sample was taken from Bronski Beat - the winner of the event.
