Stewards spoke to Mr John Brown, the trainer of Lightwood Lass regarding its performance in this event.  Mr Brown stated that the greyhound was not suited to the 715m distance races and it is his intention to restrict Lightwood Lass to shorter distances in the future.

Summer Girl crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Saint Destructor, Shamrock Boy, Rixy Ya Pest, Dyna Bonnay, Miss Heart and severely checking Here's Tears.  Miss Heart checked off Saint Destructor in the front straight.  Miss Heart checked off Dyna Bonnay on the second turn.  Saint Destructor checked off Chillin on the fourth turn.  Summer Girl checked off Chillin on the home turn.  Rixy Ya Pest and Dyna Bonnay collided on the home turn checking Miss Heart and Shamrock Boy.

Here's Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and bruising to the left foreleg and a left hind paw injury.  No stand down period was imposed.

Renita Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left foreleg paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Precisely crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Scorching Ember.  Winlock Player galloped the heels of  According on the first turn.  According and Limburg Nemesis collided entering the back straight.  Winlock Player and Limburg Nemesis collided on the third turn checking Winlock Player.  Scorching Ember raced wide throughout the event.

Can't Say That underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left wrist and left fibula. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
