Curiouser was slow to begin. Curiouser and Go Pappa Go collided soon after the start. Sad But True, Immediate, Refresh, Ishmy Lady and Okay Kirsty collided on the first turn checking Ishmy Lady, Curiouser, Go Pappa Go and Whodat Dare. Refresh checked off Immediate in the back straight. Okay Kirsty eased on the second turn. Sad But True checked off Immediate on the second turn. Refresh checked off Whodat Dare on the second turn checking Ishmy Lady. Sad But True and Go Pappa Go collided on the home turn. Refresh and Ishmy Lady collided on the home turn. Sad But True and Go Pappa Go collided in the home straight
Okay Kirsty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd, the trainer of Okay Kirsty regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Okay Kirsty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Floyd pleaded not guilty to the charge, Okay Kirsty is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
