Steward's Report
Stand Beside Me – Late scratching at 1.12pm when Mr C. Capuano reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr M. Jones was issued with a warning after the greyhound Bloke's Advice was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.
Club Official Mr I Rilen was reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound Bloke's Advice was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
Superior Charry was slow to begin.
Trixie's Rocket checked off Rusty Model on the first turn. Trixie's Rocket, Just Faith and Superior Charry collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Southern Edge and Toby Time collided in the home straight. Superior Charry raced wide in the home straight.
Toby Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an event in the catching pen. The greyhound was found to have bruising to the right side of the neck. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the Mr M. Jones the trainer of Bloke's Advice and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds display of aggression in catching pen.
