Steward's Report
Dundee Spectre was slow to begin.
Black Beauty and Class Edge collided soon after the start checking Class Edge. Banga and Black Beauty collided on the first turn checking Black Beauty. Lot Coin Babe and Eddie collided in the back straight checking Eddie. Eddie and Dundee Spectre collided approaching the home turn checking Eddie. Dundee Spectre marred Eddie in the home straight. Eddie, Black Beauty and Dundee Spectre collided approaching the winning post.
Dundee Spectre underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind foot - no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Scott-smith, the trainer of Dundee Spectre regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Dundee Spectre was charged with marring. Mr Scott-smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Dundee Spectre is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race blood and urine samples were taken from Banga - winner of the event.
