Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kroos.
Unbuckled was slow to begin.
Kroos and Flash Frankie collided on the first turn checking Jebrynah Green, severely checking Flash Frankie; Bigwig was checked as a result. Unbuckled and Flash Frankie collided on the home turn. Miss Minjee visibly eased and pulled up approaching the winning post checking Unbuckled and Ebonique.
Miss Minjee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined - No apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms K. Thorburn, the trainer of Miss Minjee regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Miss Minjee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Thorburn pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Minjee is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
