Meeting Comments:
Rollin' In – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Healesville on 1/12/2019. Rollin' In was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Rollin' In was Cleared to race. .
Darnum Bolt was quick to begin.
Madalia Champ, Coalville Crash and Pack Of Jokers were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Madalia Champ checked off Madalia Daisy on the first turn checking Coalville Crash. Find The Time clipped the heels of Darnum Bolt approaching the home turn. Darnum Bolt and Find The Time collided approaching the home turn. Find The Time marred Darnum Bolt on the home turn causing Darnum Bolt to collide with Rocky Pie. Madalia Daisy, Darnum Bolt and Find The Time collided in the home straight.
Darnum Bolt – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52
Find The Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr R. Boyce, the trainer of Find The Time regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Find The Time was charged with marring. Mr Boyce pleaded guilty to the charge, Find The Time is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Madalia Champ - the winner of the event.
