Sizzling Sam underwent a post-race veterinary examination was re-examined following race 5 and was found to have a right shoulder soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Hunter, the trainer of Sizzling Sam regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Sizzling Sam must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Madalia Ken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right hind legs, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J. Connor, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Madalia Ken was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Connor pleaded guilty to the charge, Madalia Ken must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
