A sample was taken from Shanghai Avatar upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Anita Sonic Love.
Huey's Dream, Shanghai Avatar and Rosie's Delight were quick to begin. Pretty Much and Mt. View Dream were slow to begin.
Ragin' Outcast, Crackerjack Baz and Anita Sonic Love collided soon after the start. Pretty Much and Mt. View Dream collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Baz checked off Ragin' Outcast on the first turn, causing Ragin' Outcast to brush the running rail severely checking both greyhounds, checking Pretty Much and Mt. View Dream, Crackerjack Baz, Pretty Much and Mt. View dream lost considerable ground. Shanghai Avatar and Anita Sonic Love collided approaching the home turn. Rosie's Delight checking off Shanghai Avatar approaching the home turn.
Pretty Much underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
