Steward's Report
Spolly's Jessie - Late scratching at 5.58pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. S.Spoljaric was fined $100.
Dr. Gretchen and Sizzling Sam were quick to begin. Flying Hulk, Sizzling Sam and Aston Vuitton collided soon after the start checking Sizzling Sam. Cinnamon Lass crossed in approaching the first turn checking Aston Vuitton. Cinnamon Lass crossed in on the first turn checking It's All Luck and Aston Vuitton. Sizzling Sam and Cinnamon Lass collided approaching the home turn. Dr. Gretchen was checked off Flying Hulk on the home turn. Cinnamon Lass marred Dr. Gretchen on the home turn checking It's All Luck.
Cinnamon Lass underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Sciortino the trainer of Cinnamon Lass regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Cinnamon Lass was charged with marring. Mr. Sciortino pleaded guilty to the charge, Cinnamon Lass is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
