Rock Me Lloyd was slow to begin.  Sally's Pride and Hurricane Red collided soon after the start.  Riverside Dash and Gellar Bale collided on the first turn.  Dr. Liana, Jillissa, Sally's Pride and Hurricane Red collided on the first turn checking Dr. Liana and Sally's Pride.  Riverside Dash was checked off Gellar Bale on the home turn.  Dr. Liana, Jillissa, Sally's Pride, Hurricane Red and Parabellum raced wide in the home straight.                                                                                                                                                 

True Alpha, Aston Stealth and Flash Paws were quick to begin.  Invictus Waive and Dr. Rayna collided soon after the start.  Shaded Disguise and Invictus Waive collided on the first turn checking Shaded Disguise.  True Alpha was checked off Aston Stealth on the first turn checking Zambora Lion.  Shaded Disguise and Invictus Waive collided approaching the home turn.

A post race sample was taken from Dr. Rayna - unplaced in the event.

Prior to semaphoring  the “all clear” in this event, Stewards acting in accordance with GAR 54(1) reviewed the race footage particularly in relation to the delay with the commencement of the lure run up. 

After taking into consideration the time the lure took to arrive at the boxes and their observations that no runner was materially affected by the delay, Stewards  declared “all clear”. Stewards spoke to the Lure Driver regarding the delay and as a result of the explanation given have referred the matter to the GRV Racing Operations Department.

High Kings was slow to begin.  One More Light, Break The Plate and Fine For Me collided soon after the start.  Spolly James, Break The Plate, Fine For Me and It's Not Fun raced wide in the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Rio Dixie and Canowindra on 03/02/2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Crackerjack Soc - New declared weight of 35.6kgs, last raced at 37.3kgs.

Just Faith was quick to begin.  Rio Dixie and Chasin' Bobbi collided soon after the start causing Rio Dixie to stumble and lose considerable ground.  Holly's Affair crossed in on the first turn causing Just Faith to gallop on Holly's Affair checking Flywheel Bella and Holly's Affair and severely checking Just Faith.  Just Faith was checked off Chasin' Bobbi approaching the home turn.  Canowindra galloped on Holly's Affair in the home straight causing Chasin' Bobbi and Canowindra to collide.  Crackerjack Soc crossed in in the home straight checking Chasin' Bobbi.

Rio Dixie underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Mahjong Buddy and Spolly Bear were slow to begin.  Bricabrac, Mighty Matilda and Mahjong World collided soon after the start.  Bricabrac and Mighty Matilda collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Mighty Matilda and Mahjong World.  Mighty Matilda and Mahjong World collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Mighty Matilda and Mahjong World collided on the home turn.  Bricabrac, Mighty Matilda and Mahjong World raced wide in the home straight.

Mighty Matilda underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle and a split webbing on the left hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mahjong World underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left pencil muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucero -  field of 4, 400 metres, weight 30.8kgs, box 8, placed third, time run 23.71 secs.  Not cleared shied at 680 metre boxes and winning post.
