Quick Paws and My Gem were quick to begin.  Starlight Ollie and Davidson were slow to begin.  My Gem and Big Bash Healy collided soon after the start checking My Gem, Big Bash Healy and Ocean Star.  My Gem was checked off Quick Paws approaching the first turn.  Big Bash Healy was checked off My Gem approaching the first turn.  Big Bash Healy, Ocean Star and My Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Ocean Star and Davidson and severely checking Big Bash Healy and My Gem.  Big Bash Healy and My Gem collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Davidson was checked off Ocean Star approaching the home turn.  Start The Clock and Big Bash Healy raced wide in the home straight.  Davidson and Bangers An' Mash collided approaching the winning post.

Willow Rose was quick to begin.  She Wiggles and Mr. Medico were slow to begin.  Spifflicate and Sway collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Cedric and Sway collided approaching the first turn causing Sway to brush the running rail.  Mr. Medico raced wide in the home straight.

Cute Patootie was quick to begin.  Moroka Magic was slow to begin.  Parzival, One Babe and Mandalorian collided soon after the start checking One Babe and severely checking Mandalorian.  Cute Patootie and Gellar Bale collided soon after the start checking Cute Patootie.  Parzival was checked off Jay Bird on the first turn.  Moroka Magic crossed to the outside and raced wide from the first turn to the home turn.  Parzival galloped on Jay Bird approaching the home turn.

Princess Pulse was quick to begin.  Larkhill Pryor and Harmony Hall collided soon after the start checking Harmony Hall.  Minter Zoom, Princess Pulse and Josie's Latte collided approaching the first turn checking Larkhill Pryor and Kinloch Journey.  Larkhill Pryor and Princess Pulse collided on the first turn.  Larkhill Pryor was checked off Josie's Latte on the first turn causing Larkhill Pryor to collide with Princess Pulse, Dundee Vulcan and Kinloch Journey checking Harmony Hall and severely checking Dundee Vulcan, Princess Pulse, Kinloch Journey and Larkhill Pryor, all four greyhounds raced wide and lost considerable ground as a result.

Dundee Vulcan underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a small laceration on the right hock.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards noted a piece of paper on the track approaching the winning post during the running of this event.  After viewing all available video footage Stewards deemed no greyhound to be disadvantaged and the all clear given.

Aston Cabernet - late scratching at 3.24pm on the advice of the on track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a puncture wound on a right hind toe.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Midnight Mission went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Monaco Lights crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Mystic Jaguar.  Monaco Lights was checked off Rock Me David on the first turn.  Barroom Jewel and Absolute Madness collided on the first turn.  Mystic Jaguar and Rock Me David collided in the home straight checking Rock Me David.

Kroos underwent a post race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a laceration to the right front leg above the elbow.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Chignell, the trainer of Jonathan's Rose regarding the greyhound's behaviour in the catching pen and directed that Jonathan's Rose race in an anti aggression muzzle in all future events pursuant to GAR 71A.
