Mr P. Riley the representative of Optimus Dusty informed Stewards that due to the meeting being heat affected the greyhound’s performance may be affected as anti-barking muzzles are not permitted.
Max Dynamo, Cruisy's Rose, Sedaka and Optimus Dusty collided soon after the start. Idria Bale and Gloria Bale collided soon after the start, approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Sedaka and Optimus Dusty collide on the first turn checking both greyhounds, both lost ground as a result. Little Tubbsy and Idria Bale collided entering the back straight. Idria Bale, Gloria Bale and Little Tubbsy collided on the third turn checking Idria Bale and Little Tubbsy, causing Cruisy's Rose and Little Tubbsy to collide. Max Dynamo and Ma's Plum Jam collided entering the home straight.
