Steward's Report
Speed Star was quick to begin. Unsound Mind and Velocity Anifrid were slow to begin. Spring Hummer and Apache Flame collided soon after the start. Impending was checked off Zipping Caesar on the first turn. Unsound Mind, Spring Hummer and Apache Flame collided on the first turn severely checking Apache Flame. Unsound Mind, Spring Hummer, Velocity Anifrid and Impending collided on the first turn checking Velocity Anifrid and severely checking Spring Hummer which lost ground.
Spring Hummer underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the right hind foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
