A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Corinna.
Havana Miss was slow to begin. Weblec Smoke, Submission and Aston Corinna collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Zipping Atticus, Weblec Smoke, Submission, Aston Corinna and Lucy's Milo collided on the first turn checking Submission, severely checking Zipping Atticus which tailed off as a result. Giggling Gerty and Lucy's Milo collided approaching the second turn checking Weblec Smoke, in turn severely checking Havana Miss causing Giggling Gerty to fall.
Zipping Atticus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tear to the lateral head triceps, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Giggling Gerty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
