Razor Burn and Orwell Bale were slow to begin. Taken, Run By Night, Akoya and Shanlyn Rob collided soon after the start checking Run By Night. Razor Burn and Run By Night collided approaching the first turn. Taken and Swift Current collided on the first turn. Akoya, Razor Burn and Orwell Bale collided on the first turn. Taken and Swift Current collided on the first turn. Swift Current lost ground entering the back straight and tailed off as a result.
Swift Current was vetted following the event and was found to have cramped. No stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR71 (Cramp), Swift Current must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
