Steward's Report
Banjo Glitter - Late scratching at 6.04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Lisa Davis was fined $100.
Rockette Lee was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Blazin' Hawk and Mates Rates collided soon after the start. Super Normal and Mates Rates collided approaching the first turn. Super Normal checked off Blazin' Hawk on the first turn. Ultimate Mac visibly eased and lost considerable ground approaching the first turn and again visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Ultimate Mac underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr Frank Andrighetto declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Andrighetto, the trainer of Ultimate Mac regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Ultimate Mac was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Ultimate Mac is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
