Cristalle Blue was quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start, checking Kristy Koi, Parumba Rebel, Carrow Road and Kip Your Best and severely checking Aeroplane Milly; Kip Your Best galloped on Carrow Road as a result. Kip Your Best contacted the running rail on the first turn. Mighty Matilda and Parumba Rebel collided on the first turn, severely checking Mighty Matilda.

Carrow Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Kip Your Best underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Parsons, the trainer of Carrow Road and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn and again approaching the winning post. 

Banjo Glitter - Late scratching at 6.04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Lisa Davis was fined $100.

Rockette Lee was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Blazin' Hawk and Mates Rates collided soon after the start. Super Normal and Mates Rates collided approaching the first turn. Super Normal checked off Blazin' Hawk on the first turn. Ultimate Mac visibly eased and lost considerable ground approaching the first turn and again visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Ultimate Mac underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr Frank Andrighetto declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Andrighetto, the trainer of Ultimate Mac regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Ultimate Mac was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Ultimate Mac is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Molly Magic and Another Rupee were quick to begin. 

Cute Patootie and Milly Van Allan collided approaching the first turn and raced wide. Son Of Fabio checked off Milly Van Allan on the first turn, causing Son Of Fabio to race wide. Blue Lee, Cute Patootie and Milly Van Allan collided on the first turn, checking Cute Patootie and Milly Van Allan. Cute Patootie and Milly Van Allan collided entering the back straight. Another Rupee raced wide in the back straight and again in the home straight. 

Snip Snap and Joe's Dolly collided approaching the first turn. Arashundi faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Joe's Dolly crossed in approaching the first turn, checking Data Star, Joe's Dolly and Splitting Image and severely checking Snip Snap. 

Arashundi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Macalister Mac was slow to begin. 

Inter Lana and Terrah Round collided approaching the first turn, checking Terrah Round. Cheeky Bumpa and Foxy Cruiser collided approaching the first turn, checking Cheeky Bumpa; Cheeky Bumpa collided with Terrah Round as a result. Terrah Round and Cheeky Bumpa collided in the home straight. Inter Lana raced wide in the home straight.

Khaleesi Girl - Late scratching at 5:39pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left fore toe injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Superior Chase, Ryben Jack and Mahjong Magic were slow to begin.

Tiger Spolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr John Bosnich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tiger Spolly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge, Tiger Spolly must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Violation underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and an abration to the right stopper. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Kyriacopoulos, the trainer of Violation regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Violation was charged with marring. Mr Kyriacopoulos pleaded not guilty to the charge, Violation was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Galloping Eddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a left wrist injury and right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Zulu Smoke, Vineyard, Nimble Nala, Blair Bale and So Much Mojo collided approaching the first turn, checking Nimble Nala and So Much Mojo. Vineyard, Blair Bale and Over Talking collided on the first turn, checking Vineyard and Blair Bale. Vineyard and Over Talking collided approaching the home tune, checking Vineyard, Blair Bale and So Much Mojo. Nimble Nala, Vineyard and Blair Bale collided on the home tun, checking Vineyard. Monty Python checked off Zulu Smoke in the home straight, causing Over Talking to race wide.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on-route to the track. The kennels closed at 6.29pm.

Red Queen – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sandown on 18 August 2019. Red Queen was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Red Queen was Cleared to race.
