Yeah Baby and Tiger Spolly were quick to begin.
Yeah Baby, Violation and Tiger Spolly collided on the first turn, checking Yeah Baby and Violation. Tiger Spolly visibly eased and turned it's head on the first turn, severely checking Rock Me Elijah, Galloping Eddie and Baz The Rocket. Violation veered out and marred Tiger Spolly approaching the home turn, checking Tiger Spolly, Rock Me Elijah and Galloping Eddie. Yeah Baby and Brave Traveller collided approaching the home turn. Violation, Rock Me Elijah and Galloping Eddie collided on the home turn. Violation and Galloping Eddie collided from the home turn to the winning post.
Tiger Spolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr John Bosnich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tiger Spolly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge, Tiger Spolly must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Violation underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and an abration to the right stopper. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Kyriacopoulos, the trainer of Violation regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Violation was charged with marring. Mr Kyriacopoulos pleaded not guilty to the charge, Violation was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Galloping Eddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a left wrist injury and right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
