Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Painted Elvry. 

Painted Elvry and Reco Tonic were slow to begin. 

Reco Bale and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn, checking Tuiaki Dora. Zipping Caesar and Superstar Jessie collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Caesar and Sonny Micawber collided on the home turn, checking Superstar Jessie.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on-route to the track. The kennels closed at 6.29pm.

Red Queen – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sandown on 18 August 2019. Red Queen was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Red Queen was Cleared to race.
