Steward's Report
Max Dynamo and Galloping Eddie were slow to begin. Mepunga Pegasus was checked off Shima Shine approaching the first turn. Shima Shine and Aston Poker collided approaching the first turn. Origami Angel and Mepunga Pegasus collided on the first turn. Spearhead and Aston Poker collided approaching the home turn severely checking Aston Poker. Galloping Eddie was checked off Mepunga Pegasus on the home turn. Mepunga Pegasus and Aston Poker collided on the home turn.
Aston Poker underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left triangle muscle and an abrasion to the right stopper. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Shima Shine - winner of the event.
