Philadelphia Pip underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Philadelphia Pip, Mr D. Chapman, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. After taking into account Mr Chapman's submissions regarding the severe interference on the first turn, and acting on their own observations, stewards issued the greyhound with a warning.

Mepunga Pegasus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sesamoid injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Sparkle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right trapezius injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Midnight Dare and Often Imitated collided soon after the start.  Midnight Dare checked off Often Imitated on the first turn.  Sweet As Emm, Dyna Chancer, Midnight Dare, Go Seek Heidi and Apex Within collided entering the front straight checking Apex Within, severely checking Midnight Dare and Go Seek Heidi.  Sweet As Emm and Dyna Chancer collided in the front straight.  Neo Cleo, Black Impala and Often Imitated collided several times approaching the second turn and again on the second turn.  Sweet As Emm, Dyna Chancer and Apex Within collided on the second turn checking Dyna Chancer causing Apex Within to race wide.  Dyna Chancer checked off Sweet As Emm approaching the third turn.  Black Impala raced wide on the third turn and again in the back straight.  Midnight Dare and Go Seek Heidi collided on the home turn causing Midnight Dare to collide with Apex Within.  Sweet As Emm and Dyna Chancer collided approaching the winning post.

Apex Within underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

King Colt crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking He Shall Johnny, Annie Lava, Kraken Dust and Extra Gear.  Annie Lava checked off He Shall Johnny on the first turn checking Kraken Dust and Extra Gear.  Annie Lava and Extra Gear collided in the front straight.  Annie Lava and Kraken Dust collided on the second turn severely checking Annie Lava which raced wide.  Vens Revenge and Dyna Garner collided on the third turn.  He Shall Johnny checked off Dyna Garner on the home turn.  Extra Gear checked off He Shall Johnny in the home straight.

Annie Lava underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right fore leg. No stand down period was imposed.

Vens Revenge underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Clarke, the trainer of Vens Revenge regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After taking into account the head on footage, and acting on their own observations, stewards issued the greyhound with a warning.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Russo the catcher of the greyhound Extra Gear regarding an incident in the catching pen following the running of this event. Mr Russo pleaded guilty to a charge under 86(q), in that he engaged in conduct, which was detrimental to the image and welfare of the greyhound racing. Mr. Russo was suspended for a period of one (1) month, commencing midnight Saturday, 13th of July.

Spokane Flick was slow to begin.

Minnesota Lee and Quip Allen collided soon after the start.  Quest For Glory, Minnesota Lee, Quip Allen and I'm Easy Boys collided soon after the start checking Minnesota Lee, Quip Allen and I'm Easy Boys.  Mepunga Molly, Dyna Xerox and Lylah's Way collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Xerox.  Quest For Glory and Quip Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Quest For Glory and Minnesota Lee collided on the first turn checking Minnesota Lee.  Spokane Flick and Quip Allen collided on the first turn.  Minnesota Lee and Spokane Flick collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

SUPPLIMENTARY REPORT:

Mr Jason Thompson reported to stewards that Deliver (which performed below market expectations on Thursday the 5th of July) showed signs of soreness in the right thigh and hamstring. Deliver also showed signs of a slower than normal recovery rate, and as a result the greyhound is being treated with a course of antibiotics.
