Soda Flakes was slow to begin.
Rock It Fernando and Pagan Dancer collided approaching the first turn checking Pagan Dancer. Beau Gem, Nigel Allen, Hip Hippy Shake, Rock It Fernando, Bubbles and Tessa Allen collided on the first turn checking Hip Hippy Shake and Bubbles. Beau Gem and Tessa Allen collided on the first turn. Hip Hippy Shake and Bubbles collided entering the front straight. Nigel Allen and Soda Flakes collided entering the front straight. Nigel Allen, Tessa Allen and Hip Hippy Shake collided approaching the second turn checking Tessa Allen. Nigel Allen and Hip Hippy Shake collided on the second turn. Soda Flakes checked off Nigel Allen on the second turn. Pagan Dancer and Rock it Fernando collided entering the home straight and appraoching the winning post.
Pagan Dancer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left trapezius injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Crawford, the trainer of Pagan Dancer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. After taking into account Mr Crawford's submissions and the head on footage, stewards issued the greyhound with a warning.
