Steward's Report
Milly Mac and Black Katniss were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Lara Tara and Zero Foxtrot collided approaching the first turn. Black Katniss and Zero Foxtrot collided on the first turn, checking Zero Foxtrot. Black Katniss checked off Wake Up in the home straight. New Cross Gate visibly eased, turned outwards and collided with Lara Tara in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
New Cross Gate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Paul Radstock, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), New Cross Gate was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Radstock pleaded guilty to the charge, New Cross Gate must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
