Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Rapana.
Shakey Cougar was slow to begin.
Adriel and Rapana collided soon after the start. Very Venom and Rapana collided approaching the first turn. Striking Gold and Adriel collided on the first turn, checking Striking Gold. Shakey Cougar checked off Jaggered Stone on the first turn and stumbled. Rapana checked off Shakey Cougar entering the home straight and collided with Very Venom.

MEETING COMMENTS:
Ragin' Comet– In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Geelong on 26 July, 2019. Raging Comet was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Ragin' Comet was cleared to race.
Orson Allen was presented for a veterinary clearance in accordance with GAR 71(2), after stewards deemed the performance of the greyhound unsatisfactory at Bendigo on 30 June, 2019. Orson Allen was passed fit to race.
SATISFACTORY TRIAL RESULTS -
Spring Unit – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a change of kennel. Weighing 34.2kgs and beginning from box 8, Spring Unit completed the 390m trial distance in a time of 23.62 Spring Unit placed 4th in a field of 4 starters, beaten by 17.5 lengths. Spring Unit has not been cleared to race. Spring Unit underwent a post-trial veterinary examination - No apparent injury was found.
