Thomeli Gal and Sparra's Mate collided in the home straight. Don's Scolari and Sparra's Mate collided approaching the winning post. 

A post-race sample was taken from Rapid Fire- the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Thomeli Girl, Mr D Gehan and issued him with a warning in regard to retrieving his greyhound from the kennels by the appointed time.

Norwood and Rim Of Fire were slow to begin. 

Weslyn Bale, Hendirx Bale, Gypsy's Mindy and Stan's Hope collided approaching the first turn, checking Hendrix Bale. Hendrix Bale and Norwood collided approaching the first turn. Weslyn Bale, Gypsy's Mindy and Stan's Hope collided approaching the first turn, checking Weslyn Bale. Gypsy's Mindy and Stan's Hope collided approaching the home turn, checking Stan's Hope. Hendrix Bale and Norwood collided several times in the home straight. 

Milly Mac and Black Katniss were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Lara Tara and Zero Foxtrot collided approaching the first turn. Black Katniss and Zero Foxtrot collided on the first turn, checking Zero Foxtrot. Black Katniss checked off Wake Up in the home straight. New Cross Gate visibly eased, turned outwards and collided with Lara Tara in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. 

New Cross Gate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Paul Radstock, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), New Cross Gate was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Radstock pleaded guilty to the charge, New Cross Gate must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Turnaround Tina, Big Little Sis and Zipping Cisco were slow to begin.

Inga Assalt crossed to the rails on the first turn, checking Turnaround Tina, Big Little Sis and Zipping Cisco. Crackerjack Tys and Big Little Sis collided approaching the winning post. 

Belt Up Libba was quick to begin. Pyrenees Daisy and Opala Bale were slow to begin. 

Angel's Comet checked off Ulyssa Bale approaching the first turn. Ulyssa Bale, Belt Up Libba and Lektra Style collided on the first turn, checking Belt Up Libba. Belta Up Libba and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Daisy and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Daisy and Sam I'm Mikado collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Sam I'm Mikado visibly eased approaching the winning post. 

Sam I'm Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Maria Barber, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sam I'm Mikado was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Sam I'm Mikado must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Inga Mikey was quick to begin. 

Kintamani and Inga Ross collided soon after the start. Dundee Blitz and Miss Toy collided approaching the first turn. My Name's George, Dundee Blitz, Miss Toy and So Tough collided entering the back straight, checking So Tough. Inga Ross checked off Dundee Blitz approaching the second turn. Miss Toy checked off Inga Mikey on the second turn and collided with Dundee Blitz. Dundee Blitz checked off Inga Mikey on the home turn and stumbled. Inga Ross and Inga Mikey collided approaching the winning post. Miss Toy raced wide in the home straight. 

Miss Toy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and it was reported the greyhound sustained a right quadricep injury. A ten day stand down period was imposed.

Punt Road Girl was quick to begin. Kimimela was slow to begin. 

Zipping Atticus and Abstract Miss collided soon after the start, checking Abstract Miss. Zipping Atticus and Punt Road Girl collided approaching the first turn. Kat's Hughy and Kimimela collided on the first turn. Little Fernando checked off Bisenti on the first turn. Punt road Girl checked off Bisenti on the first turn. Kat's Hughy and Kimimela collided approaching the home turn, checking Kat's Hughy and Zipping Atticus. Cosmic Brew checked off Kat's Hughy in the home straight. Kimimela visibly turned its head, shifted inwards and eased in the home straight, checking Zipping Atticus. Zipping Atticus and Abstract Miss collided approaching the winning post. Punt Road Girl and Cosmic Brew collided approaching the winning post. 

Kimimela underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr J. Forbes declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kimimela was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Forbes pleaded guilty to the charge, Kimimela is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hagrid Grange and Awesome Freckles collided approaching the first turn, checking Hagrid Grange. Redcliff Rebel, Awesome Freckels and Crymelon Kit collided approaching the first turn, checking Awesome Freckles. Monaro Joe checked off Game Spirit on the first turn. Charlotte Allen checked off Crymelon Kit approaching the home turn. Awesome Freckles and Charlotte Allen collided on entering the home straight.

Night Glow was quick to begin. Big Baccala was slow to begin. 

Standby Blue and Heart Beats True collided soon after the start. Bruno He Mikado crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and collided with Heart Beats True. Standby Blue and Big Baccala collided on the first turn. Standby Blue and Heart Beats True collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Five Times Table was quick to begin. 

Saint Ray, Due Fratteli, Crackerjack Tim, Urban Ruler, Schatzie Armo and Pyrenees Inferno collided on the first turn, checking Saint Ray, Crackerjack Tim, Urban Ruler, Schatzie Armo and Due Fratteli. Crackerjack Tim crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Schatzie Armo. Due Fratteli and Schatzie Armo collided on the home turn. 

Red Neck Miss, Architecture, Yeran and Soda Ashlee were slow to begin. 

Architecture and Yeran collided soon after the start. Soda Ashlee checked off Red Neck Miss  approaching the first turn. Pinnaroo, Slipaway Whitey and Red Neck Miss collided on the first turn, checking Slipaway Whitey, Soda Ashlee and Yeran and severely checking Pinnaroo. Chachi Arcola visibly eased and turned its head inwards entering the home straight. Pyrenees Classic checked off Red Neck Miss in then home straight. Chachi Arcola veered out and marred the running of Red Neck Miss approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Lloyd, the representative of Chachi Arcola regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Charchi Arcola was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Lloyd pleaded guilty to the charge, Charchi Arcola suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Lloyd declined the option to have the greyhound vetted.

Shakey Cougar was slow to begin. 

Adriel and Rapana collided soon after the start. Very Venom and Rapana collided approaching the first turn. Striking Gold and Adriel collided on the first turn, checking Striking Gold. Shakey Cougar checked off Jaggered Stone on the first turn and stumbled. Rapana checked off Shakey Cougar entering the home straight and collided with Very Venom.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Ragin' Comet– In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Geelong on 26 July, 2019. Raging Comet was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury.  Ragin' Comet was cleared to race. 

Orson Allen was presented for a veterinary clearance in accordance with GAR 71(2), after stewards deemed the performance of the greyhound unsatisfactory at Bendigo on 30 June, 2019. Orson Allen was passed fit to race.  

SATISFACTORY TRIAL RESULTS -

Spring Unit – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a change of kennel. Weighing 34.2kgs and beginning from box 8, Spring Unit completed the 390m trial distance in a time of 23.62 Spring Unit placed 4th in a field of 4 starters, beaten by 17.5 lengths. Spring Unit has not been cleared to race. Spring Unit underwent a post-trial veterinary examination - No apparent injury was found.
