Steward's Report
Belt Up Libba was quick to begin. Pyrenees Daisy and Opala Bale were slow to begin.
Angel's Comet checked off Ulyssa Bale approaching the first turn. Ulyssa Bale, Belt Up Libba and Lektra Style collided on the first turn, checking Belt Up Libba. Belta Up Libba and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Daisy and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Daisy and Sam I'm Mikado collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Sam I'm Mikado visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Sam I'm Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Maria Barber, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sam I'm Mikado was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Sam I'm Mikado must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
