Steward's Report
Red On Black was slow to begin. Golden Banjo, Kraken Jess and Janray Lucky One collided approaching the first turn checking Janray Lucky One. Golden Banjo and Kraken Jess collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Golden Banjo and Nadia Business collided entering the home straight. Kraken Jess and Nadia Business collided entering the home straight. Kraken Jess and Janray Lucky One collided entering the home straight and in the home straight. Kraken Jess visibly eased in the home straight and collided with Rotarua. Rotarua, Janray Lucky One and Kraken Jess collided approaching the winning post checking Janray Lucky One.
Janray Lucky One underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 11. Janray Lucky One was found to have a back injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K. Kubik, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Janray Lucky One was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Kubik pleaded not guilty to the charge, Janray Lucky One was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
