Stewards spoke to Mr G.Hansen the handler of Flame Slinger regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting on Stewards and Mr Hansens own observations and all available footage Stewards took no further action.

Inga Ross was slow to begin. Shooters Ali, Better Way and Chook Richards collided on the first turn checking Better Way and Chook Richards. Shooters Ali and Smoke And Embers collided approaching the second turn checking Shooters Ali which collided with My Girl Sissy. Shooters Ali, My Girl Sissy, Inga Ross and Chook Richards collided on the second turn checking Inga Ross.

Red On Black was slow to begin. Golden Banjo, Kraken Jess and Janray Lucky One collided approaching the first turn checking Janray Lucky One. Golden Banjo and Kraken Jess collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Golden Banjo and Nadia Business collided entering the home straight. Janray Lucky One underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 11. Janray Lucky One was found to have a back injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K. Kubik, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Janray Lucky One was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Kubik pleaded not guilty to the charge, Janray Lucky One was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Claretown Boris and Big Barra were slow to begin. Millie's Angel, Sky Rising and Glascoe Sally collided approaching the first turn checking Millie's Angel. Millie's Angel and Big Barra collided approaching the first turn severely checking Millie's Angel. Lily The Weapon and Akut collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Select Bully and Covfefe were slow to begin. Zipping Riot and Awesome Freckles collided soon after the start checking Awesome Freckles. Select Bully, Awesome Freckles and Covfefe collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Awesome Freckles. Pyrenees Classic raced wide in the home straight.

Meeting Comments:

Cullquin Daario – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Shepparton on 6 June, 2019. Cullquin Daario was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Cullquin Daario was Cleared to race. 

Noble Weetbix – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to injury. Weighing 31.2kg and beginning from box 1, Noble Weetbix completed the 425m trial distance in a time of 24.43. Noble Weetbix placed 2nd in a field of four starters beaten by 3L. Noble Weetbix has been cleared to race.
