My Boy Joey was slow to begin. Blazin' Bulla, Flame Slinger and Spritely Star collided soon after the start checking Flame Slinger. Standing Bear and Flame Slinger collided approaching the first turn checking Standing Bear. Why Not Archie faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Spritely Star and My Boy Joey collided entering the home straight. Blazin' Bulla and Flame Slinger collided approaching the winning post.
Flame Slinger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right toe injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
My Boy Joey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder joint injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
