Steward's Report

Pranjip Zeus and Driving Me Nuts collided soon after the start. Mum's The Word and Once A King collided at the 100m mark. Once A King visibly eased at the 50m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Pranjip Zeus - the winner of the event.

Once A King underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr E. Keene, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Once A King was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Keene pleaded not guilty to the charge, Once A King must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
